+ 1000 millard is a video animation and a publication by Peter Millard.

Both consists in ca. 500 drawings you can see edited here and printed on paper in a limited edition ‘book’ designed by Claudia Polizzi. This series of images was conceived during Peter’s Di/Da residency in Bolzano, to be more precise, during the 12 minutes the Renon cable car takes to cover the 1000 metre difference in altitude between Bolzano and Soprabolzano. The aerial tramway climbs up the slope providing passengers with a bird’s-eye view over the city, the rocks, the woods and the surrounding Dolomite peaks. It’s an inebriating experience and when you get off you feel quite dizzy. The same positive dizziness that makes Peter so special. (Click here for the italian press release).

The animation and the book were launched in Bologna at Fruit Exhibition (2/4 feb), at Centro Trevi in Bolzano (6th feb), and soon (June 22nd) they will have their UK premiere in London at Elcaf. If you wanna buy the book online just click below!
